We are pleased to announce Baron is now Double registered with FOA Friesians of America as well as FPS.

A 2000 world class stallion of noble breeding. This beautiful imported stallion made star status in 2003 putting him in the top 25% of his breed. Only 6 other stallions made star status that year in the U.S. He descends from a very productive mother line. His Grand dam is one of the most famous and productive mares in history "Wijkje"-Model-Pref-Prestm (by Nanne197)... Wijkje's dam is Wietsche Ster+ Preferant, this mareline is known for producing powerful hindquarters. Baron's Grand sire "Feitse 293" is one of the last living Preferant stallions in the world. Feitse stamps his offspring with great conformation, powerful gaits and great minds. Barons sire (Feitse's son) Tsjerk is one of the most revered stallions standing in the Netherlands today, producing a high number of Star offspring known for their powerful forward movement and beautiful faces.

Baron always puts a strong and recognizable stamp on any breed he is crossed with, and it is usually the hair -~and lots of it ~ a kind disposition, big powerful movement, substance, bone, and presence. He imparts his "look at me" attitude, and his willingness to be a noble and proud partner.

Previously in training with Ken Jameson (Classical Dressage, Ken has worked closely with Karl Mikolka at Temple Farms) Ken thought Baron was an honest energetic stallion with a good work attitude like his sire. He even made an offer to purchase him. (but he will never be sold) We were so honored when Baron was selected to be the mount for Chief Riding Instructor: Ritmeester Robert van den Berg, (MRg) (KCE) Royal Netherlands Army (he rides for the Queen) during the 2006 Dutch Days Festival in Holland MI. Baron was ridden by Robert in the Governors Parade where they were inspected by Gov. Granholm. They also did the big parade as well as a ceremony for a fallen soldier followed by the induction of the newest member of the Blue Devils Horse Platoon. Baron and Robert started out by getting to know each other in a beach training exercise where Baron led a group of Friesian mares through gunfire and smoke bombs!! See pic's below.. Did I mention Baron did all this -with just having met Robert- with only 60 days under saddle??? He really is an impressive horse... Like the time we decided to jump him during an exhibition at MSU. We practiced once that morning then put it in our demo..(Baron had never jumped before). This was Barons first performance ever under saddle. Baron as usual, rose to the occasion.. and this was with 30 days under saddle. Baron always tries his best. See picture below. Baron is also a bit of a celebrity, complete with a fan club of children that love to visit him. His kind loving nature endears him to people of all ages. See pic's below of Baron and some children at the Grand opening of a Tack shop. He really is a horse of the people... Foals can be registered with several registries including the Friesian Sport Horse Registry and Friesians of America. Friesians of America has judgings similar to the purebred Friesian keurings, and micro chipping is required. Baron is an approved Bronze Status Stallion with Friesians of America

been her 34th birthday. She will be greatly missed and we wish her good luck on her journey. We won't forget you Mo!!!
